
Yira Argumedo
Yira is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She received a B.S. degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Behavioral Neuroscience from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. During her undergraduate years, she worked as a research assistant in the neuroscience department, conducting developmental animal research. Her interest in development led her to pursue a career working with children. After working as an assistant preschool teacher, she discovered ABA. She decided to pursue a master’s degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University, following a year of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician.
Yira has experience in early intervention and enjoys teaching technicians how to make ABA sessions fun to promote social skills, communication, and peer interactions.
Originally from Colombia, Yira moved to Ohio in 2010. She currently lives in downtown Chicago with her fiancé and dog. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new places in the city, traveling, and staying active through CrossFit.
