Stride !
Let’s start with the meaning of Stride: As progress mean: An important step forward or major improvement.
Common phrase: Take something in Stride meaning: To calmly handle a surprise problem, or stressful situation, without getting upset !
Autism it’s a very scary diagnosis that present itself with multiple unpredictable challenges that spread on wide Spectrum ‘it’s like you holding lots of pieces of unknown puzzle and it’s your job to put them together to form a clear picture when it display it will be understandable .
When my daughter got diagnosis with Autism I felt like I’ve been hit by train I didn’t hear the rest of the doctor conversion I see her lips moving but I didn’t hear what she was saying after she said : She is on the spectrum she has AUTISM !
I left the doctor office and it took us a good one hour in that parking lot .
To cut to the chase Stride autism center took all the pieces of this mysteries puzzle and with their experts ABA therapists and their BCBAs they put it together one piece at the time with their one on one program they address and come with comprehensive program for my daughter challenges and they have patient to modified it every time a behavior rise up and on top of that I have a biweekly meeting with my daughter BCBA coach Miss Lexie we go through all the chats and breakdown the progress and she answer all my question and concerns with professionalism she go above and beyond her role to make sure I’m on the same page with my daughter so I could continue applying what they are doing at stride to keep the consistency piece ‘ my daughter now she is putting the pieces of puzzle to build a clear picture; she had less to zero meltdown ;she is botty trained ,she knows and identified numbers ,letters all upper and some lower cases ,shapes and colors ,animals and objects ;she responds to her name and most importantly she is building some vocabulary words compare to a year ago she is nonverbal !
To conclude the very best move I made after the diagnosis it enrolling my daughter in Stride Autism Center they equip her and me with lots of tools box to walk with confidence in this journey.
Thank you Stride from the bottom of my heart for equipping my daughter to navigate the long road in this journey .

My child attended ABA therapy at STRIDE for almost three years. Her growth over that period of time is nothing short of remarkable! The RBT’s and BCBA’s were incredibly supportive and went above and beyond to ensure my child received all the support she needed! They even helped me so i would know what to do when she would display challenging behaviors at home. They also made things easier by having Speech and OT in the clinic so she could get all her therapies at one place. Early intervention is key and my daughter wouldn’t be where she is if it wasn’t for STRIDE! I highly recommend them and will forever be grateful for all they did!

My daughter starting attending here when she was 2 and attended for a year. It has been one of the best things that ever happened to our family. Stride truly became like a family to us because of how amazing the people who work here are. My daughter was not able to talk to us at all when she started and a year later, she is on par with the average 3 year old. I am beyond amazed. Having 1:1 support and someone fully focused on helping her was exactly what she needed. Getting littles help early on makes such a huge difference. The parent meetings were so helpful for us to learn how to help her as well. Before we enrolled, I had heard a lot of the negative history of ABA and I was concerned, but the more I learned about Stride and this center in particular, the more confident I was with enrolling my daughter. They are not trying to force kids to not stim or to act differently than they naturally are. They embrace kids as they are and are only looking to help with learn how to cope and communicate. My daughter learned so many coping skills to help regulate her emotions better and the whole family learned skills to help with communication. Our life is hugely improved because of Stride and I would highly highly recommend them to other families in the area.

Absolutely amazing. My son dean went to stride in johnston from 2 1/2 until just recently in april. It was so hard to leave but it was time to get him ready for kindergarten next school year and also moving to a different town. The staff was amazing throughout all the years he had been there. He grew tremendously throughout the years of him being there.
And I am so grateful to the staff for everything that they did for him. And everything they did for me, too. Especially when my husband was deployed this past year. Thank you so so much, no.Thank yous, can amount to how grateful I am.

Stride has been absolutely amazing for my daughter! The staff that works there is so attentive to every child that comes in the doors. Stride has done everything, and then some, for my family and I through all of our life changes. Had a tour today and this place seems amazing! I got to speak with Payton, one of the BCBAs and she is so kind. She was very understanding of my child’s needs, and showed me around the center. Payton had a smile on her face the entire visit, and she made sure all my questions were answered before I left. The center looked very clean and organized.

We have really enjoyed bringing our granddaughter to Stride, we have learned so much about her and what her needs are. How to communicate with her and we love all the people that work there. They are so helpful and answer any questions we have. They have guided us when we didn’t know where to turn. They have all made a big impact on our daily life.
